Prior to joining RBC Wealth Management in 2002, Brett worked for Westfield, one of the world's largest owners and developers of shopping centers. During his tenure there, he worked as a budget and financial analyst as well as a center and leasing manager and participated in the company's IPO. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history at Pitzer College in Claremont, California and graduated from the Executive Management Program at UCLA's Anderson Graduate School of Business.
Brett passed the Series 7, 31 and 66 exams and is licensed to sell life and disability insurance, fixed & variable annuities, health and long-term care insurance. Brett is also a Chairman's Council member and has been a recent contributor to The Wall Street Journal, Reuters, Dow Jones, Financial Post, and The Street. Most recently he was named to the Forbes Best-In-State Wealth Advisor list in 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023.
Brett lives in Brentwood with his wife, Alison, and their two children. He is an avid sports fan and a supporter of the UCLA basketball and football programs.
