Chip believes his main responsibility is to attract, develop, motivate and retain the highest quality Financial Advisors, Client Associates and management team leaders. His philosophy is to create a positive, stimulating environment for his colleagues by fostering an environment filled with value-driven individuals who share the same vision of delivering exceptional advice and experiences that consistently exceed expectations. By providing this type of environment, Chip feels that the Financial Advisors will be in strong positions to take great care of their clients, continue to grow personally and have the ability to build reputations that will be well respected in their communities. Chip is also a strong advocate of RBC Wealth Management’s commitment to stewardship and encourages all of his colleagues to participate in supporting the communities where they live and work.
Chip is a graduate of Furman University where he competed in two sports and earned a degree in economics. In 1994, Chip joined Smith Barney Shearson as a financial consultant in Ft. Lauderdale. He remained with the firm during several mergers and contributed as a national training officer, manager of financial advisor training, branch manager and complex manager. In 2014, Chip made a values-based decision and joined RBC Wealth Management as a Complex Director leading RBC Wealth Management’s efforts in Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina and Southern Virginia.
Chip was both a council-level sole practitioner and a partner on one of the top private client teams in the southeast. With this unique perspective and his background as a trainer, he spends much of his time with both individual Financial Advisors and teams helping them develop growing practices that are built to last. Chip and his wife, Jenn, live in Atlanta with their six active children. When they are not playing sports or studying, the Anderson family supports charities focused on health and education for children, and the environment.
