Mary Helen began her career in the financial services industry in 1998 in Houston, Texas. Starting off as a sales assistant, she embraced the opportunity to move into a management role with UBS Paine Webber in Austin, Texas in 2001. Since then, Mary Helen has worked for UBS Financial Services, Southwest Securities and Morgan Stanley Wealth Management. Mary Helen also briefly worked on the independent side for Broker Dealer in Houston. Mary Helen has been with RBC Wealth Management since 2015 and has never looked back. RBC is the firm and work environment she had been seeking for many years.
Mary Helen holds a master’s degree in organizational leadership and management, a certification as Professional Certified Coach from the University of Miami and financial licenses 7, 66, 9, 10, 31. Her undergraduate degrees are in cultural anthropology and global business. Her broad education and experience make her an active listener and a curious, open-minded leader. She enjoys helping navigate complex issues and removing barriers to success for her teams, financial advisors, and support staff. As vice president – branch director with RBC Wealth Management, Mary Helen sees her role as one of enablement, helping employees and advisors toward business growth and empowerment to achieve their professional goals and aspirations.
She serves as an adjunct faculty member for the University of Denver. She has served on the board of directors for the Range of Motion Project and raises funds and awareness for prosthetic care. Mary Helen climbed Cotopaxi in Ecuador in 2019 and recently summited Kilimanjaro. An avid hiker, runner, skier, and advocate for those in need, her greatest joys in life are her husband, daughter, son-in-law and two-year-old grandson who will be on skis in the very near future.
