Qualifications
Prior to joining RBC Wealth Management in 2015, Brian worked for Morgan Stanley Smith Barney from 2007-2015, and Hefren Tillotson from 1999-2007 as a Senior Financial Planner. Brian's focus is on estate planning and its relatedness to investment portfolios. Specific to those investment portfolios, he takes a growth and income approach by building tax considerate portfolios. He also leverages the RBC Wealth Management Portfolio Advisory Group advice tailored to specific client situations.
Education
Brian earned his bachelor of arts from Westminster College in New Wilmington, PA. After completing the required coursework at the College of Financial Planning, he received his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificate. The multi-year CFP® program entails in-depth courses, training, and comprehensive examinations in all areas of financial planning including investments, taxes, insurance, estate, and retirement planning. Brian also passed the Series 6,7,63 FINRA exams and holds Life, Health, Accident insurance licenses.
Personal
He is a lifelong resident of Pittsburgh’s South Hills, and currently resides in Bethel Park with wife, Michele, and three sons, one of which also works at RBC Wealth Management. In his spare time he likes to mountain bike, ski, play ice hockey and loves competing in the Mud on the Mountain obstacle mud run held biannually at Seven Springs.
