Loren Danielson has more than 35 years of financial services experience. From the very beginning of his career, Loren has taken a deep and abiding interest in the families for whom he provides financial guidance, building and nurturing close relationships. Through the decades his enthusiasm has only grown. It has earned him a place on the RBC Wealth Management Chairman’s Council that recognizes the firm’s premier financial advisors.

Loren is an Accredited Wealth Manager (AWM), having completed a cutting edge program through the Estate and Wealth Management Institute of Michigan State University. He holds the Series 7 and Series 66 securities licenses and is licensed for health and life insurance and annuities.

Loren earned a bachelor’s degree in business from the American University where he was captain of the wrestling team and the first to represent the school at the NCAA Wrestling Championships. He joined Ferris Baker Watts as a financial advisor in 1980 and eventually assumed leadership roles, serving on the FBW Board of Directors and chairing its Retail Advisory Board. FBW became part of RBC Wealth Management in 2009. Loren’s radio market commentaries may be heard on Bloomberg.

Loren is a lifelong resident of metropolitan Washington, DC, having grown up in nearby Montgomery County, Maryland. His wife Jamie is a native New Yorker. Loren and Jamie are very proud of their son Collin and daughter-in-law Hyatt and their son Matthew. Their favorite family activity is boating on the Chesapeake Bay. Loren is a committed advocate for American University wrestling, a program that produces All Americans and achieves academic excellence. He is a former trustee of the Concord Hill School and has served on committees of the Leukemia Society of the National Capital Area.

Matt Gray serves as the team’s portfolio equity analyst, working side by side with Loren Danielson on client portfolio construction, management and allocation. He joined RBC Wealth Management in 2010. Prior to that, Matt’s career was in real estate development, working with clients on the acquisition, development and management of multiple projects in the DC Metro area. These included the renovation of The Madison Hotel & Office Building and the ground-up construction of the Embassy & Homewood Suites in Dulles, Virginia.

Matt has his Series 7 and 66 securities licenses and is licensed for health and life insurance and annuities. He received his MBA, with a focus in finance and international business, from The George Washington University School of Business. Matt earned his Bachelor of Arts from Denison University and received his Certificate of Financial Planning from Georgetown University.

Matt currently serves as the co-chair of The George Washington Real Estate & Finance Alliance (REFA), is a member of The Luther Rice Society and served as an advisory board member of LearnServe International. He resides in downtown Washington, DC.

Mark Sarver

Mark Sarver joined RBC Wealth Management in 2005 and holds the Series 7 and Series 66 securities licenses and is licensed for health and life insurance and annuities. Knowledgeable and dependable, Mark has an exceptional commitment to client service. He provides a range of services to insure a rewarding client experience and efficient account administration and employs outreach strategies to enable clients to access available resources. 

Mark came to RBC Wealth Management from a rewarding career in the nonprofit sector devoted to helping people seize opportunities for a better life. For 25 years with national and community service organizations, he raised funds and public awareness and he educated and empowered. He was an instructor in the Bank Street College of Education Masters in Early Childhood Leadership program and was deputy director of the Public Access Corporation of DC. Mark is a member of the board of directors of Super Leaders Inc., a nonprofit organization that provides year-round youth leadership training for at risk middle school and high school students in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. He formerly was active in the DC Chamber of Commerce.

Mark holds a degree in communication from the American University. Raised in New Jersey, he was drawn to the nation’s capital and is a long-time resident. He enjoys exploring the city’s great restaurants and museums and reading lively history, biographies and novels. An avid softball player, Mark has been player-coach of a team for more than 30 years.
