A century of service in the Rocky Mountain Region

At RBC Wealth Management, we are proud to celebrate our 100-year anniversary of service in the Rocky Mountain Region. Though our name has changed a few times since 1916, our values have remained the same—to serve our clients and community with integrity, teamwork, quality service and leadership. We have been fortunate to touch the lives of thousands of individuals and hundreds of diverse organizations through volunteering, sponsorships, and financial supportour in communities throughout the region. Here are a few highlights from our most recent efforts.

Boys & Girls Club Gates Camp

Denver Complex employees, family members and Boys & Girls Clubs staff celebrate a successful cleanup day at the scenic Gates Camp in Ward, Colorado.

RBC Wealth Management Denver Complex employees and family members spent a recent weekend morning volunteering at the scenic Boys & Girls Club Gates Camp in Ward Colorado. Our team of volunteers helped with cleanup activities and fix-ups needed to help prepare the camp for the following season. The nearly 100-year-old Gates Camp hosts more than 500 inner-city children each summer as they get an opportunity to experience hiking, fishing, archery, wildlife viewing other outdoor activities during a week-long stay.

Led by Dan Ball and a team of volunteers from the Denver, Denver Tech Center, Boulder and Fort Collins offices, Gates Camp is ready for the coming season.

Food Bank of the Rockies

RBC Wealth Management Denver Complex once again served as the Co-Sponsor of the Joe and Debbie Sakic Bringing Hope to the Table event to benefit Food Bank of the Rockies. The event, chaired by Denver Tech Center Senior Vice President and Financial Advisor, Mark Boshoven, helped raise enough money to provide 1 million meals to young people in need throughout the Rocky Mountain region.

2017 marked the 19th year for the event and RBC Wealth Management has been a part of each and every one of the fundraisers.

Founded in 1978 in Denver, Food Bank of the Rockies has extended its reach across Colorado and southern Wyoming, providing food and supplies to more than 500 hunger-relief programs. In 2016, the Food Bank of the Rockies network distributed nearly 60 million pounds of food – enough to provide more than 131,000 meals each day to children, seniors and families in need.

Thanks to donations and significant volunteer hours, 96 cents of every dollar received by Food Bank goes directly to food distribution programs.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver

A team of RBC Wealth Management employees and family members recently helped host a Halloween party for kids at the Club’s Cope Branch near downtown Denver. The afternoon event featured holiday-themed games and healthy snacks.

Blue Water Day

Launched in 2007, the RBC Blue Water Project is a 10-year global commitment of $50 million. RBC employees partner with local organizations each year to provide volunteer services aimed at ensuring the long-term health and protection of the world’s most precious natural resource—fresh water. In Denver, we work with the Parks & Recreation Department to remove debris, prune, and weed along the Cherry Creek Trail and the South Platte River.

We are so grateful for the opportunity we’ve been given to give back to the communities where we live and work. We thank you for your continued confidence in us and we look forward to continuing to serve you throughout 2016 and beyond.
