RBC Wealth Management Colorado Scholarship Fund
RBC Wealth Management has a long-standing tradition of supporting the communities in which we do business. Locally, in 1999, we established the RBC Dain Rauscher Columbine High School Scholarship Fund after the tragedy that occurred there. After awarding 57 college scholarships to students at Columbine High School during the next four years, we expanded upon this educational philanthropy to start the RBC Wealth Management Colorado Scholarship Fund in 2003 which provides financial aid to deserving students throughout the entire state of Colorado.
This fund has grown and developed into the RBC Wealth Management Colorado Scholarship Fund, providing financial aid to deserving students throughout the state. To date, the fund has awarded $338,672 in scholarships and grown the endowed portion of the fund to over $797,000 through the generosity of RBC Wealth Management employees, clients and friends.
Typically, we have held a major annual fundraising event, which most recently has been a golf tournament and silent auction. Range of Motion Project (ROMP)
ROMP’s mission is to provide high quality prosthetic care in underserved populations, which enhances mobility and unlocks human potential. We believe in equal access to prosthetic and orthotic services that facilitate independence through mobility. We recognize the dual hardships of living in poverty with a disability, and stand in solidarity with those who are made to suffer from an unequal distribution of care. We understand that disability is caused by broken devices and broken healthcare systems – not broken bodies – and we work to increase the mobility, visibility, and dignity of all those marginalized by lack of access to rehabilitative technology. Climbing for ROMP started in 2015 and continues to grow. Cathy Anderson Hyams and Wendy Hulse participated in a hike to raise money for the Range of Motion Project.
