Born in Syracuse, New York, I moved to Fort Lauderdale, Florida, in 1972. My father was a successful financial advisor based in Fort Lauderdale. It was his passion for investing that greatly influenced my decision to join Merrill Lynch in 1984.
After close to 25 years with Merrill Lynch, I joined RBC Wealth Management in April 2009. A graduate from Nova Southeastern University School of Entrepreneurship, I received a Certificate of Specialization in Financial Planning. I earned the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) certification in January 1999, which has provided the training necessary to assist clients with all aspects of their financial life. I have specialized in multi-generational planning, and am proud to have worked with up to four generations of a family as they navigate through life’s transitions.
I have been married to my husband, Ed, since 1982. We have two grown children, Allie and Christopher, and two granddaughters, Harper and Ainsley. I also own two quarter horses that I love riding. I am a member of the American Quarter Horse Association and the Florida Quarter Horse Association. My family and I also enjoy spending time at our vacation home in the mountains of East Tennessee.
In 2012, RBC Wealth Management was proud to announce that I had been named the Irv Weiser Diversity Award winner. The Irv Weiser Award was established in 2004 to recognize individuals who exhibit the company’s commitment to diversity and inclusion.
As an ally of the gay and lesbian community, I have built a significant portion of my business in this growing client market and regularly works to build diversity awareness both in the branch and the local community. Supporting the diverse community of South Florida is very important to me and the Krider Family. As a result, we proudly support the Pride Center at Equality Park, Equality Florida, Our Fund, and I serve on the board of Women in Network, an organization supporting LBT women. I am also actively involved with the Women’s Association of Financial Advisors and with RBC Pride, our employee resource groups.
