Charitable Donations

In recent years the Hagerstown Branch of RBC Wealth Management has hosted an annual holiday gift wrapping client event to benefit the local Bester Community of Hope organization. Each year our branch adopts as many as 30 children and purchases gifts from their wish lists. Clients are then invited to enjoy a fun evening of gift wrapping and dinner. Additional wish list items are collected to benefit Hospice of Washington County, Inc. 

Shred Event

Since 2016, the Hagerstown Branch of RBC Wealth Management has held an annual shredding event where we invite clients and the public to bring any unwanted papers to the Hagerstown Suns Stadium parking lot where we have a shredding truck available for their use. It is our way of giving back to our clients and the community.

Honored with service award by Mercersburg Academy

In April 2020, Brendan Fitzsimmons and his wife Katie were honored to receive the James Hasson Distinguished Service Award, an award given when a volunteer extends distinguished service to Mercersburg Academy over the course of many years. The Fitzsimmonses have been members of White Key since 2014, became White Key vice-chairs in 2017, and have served as White Key co-chairs since 2018. They have worked as admission volunteers and Daring to Lead Campaign spring event hosts. Katie has volunteered as a team parent, while Brendan has served as an Annual Fund volunteer. In addition, Brendan has volunteered with Mercersburg's senior capstone courses, Springboard and MAPS, and joined the Board of Regents as an ex-officio member in 2018, serving on the Investment, Finance, and Advancement committees.
