In 2019, Patrick Farley and his team, The FPI Group, were retained by RBC Wealth Management to open and manage their first office in Marin County, California.
A veteran of many market cycles, Patrick has long held that the most effective way to help a client meet his or her financial objectives centers on effective risk management and should not rely on predicting market highs and lows. Patrick helps clients pursue their financial objectives by crafting and managing a personalized investment strategy designed specifically to meet each individual client’s financial objectives within an appropriate risk framework. He believes this strategy, combined with uncompromising integrity and diligent oversight, produces the most effective results over time.
Patrick is a Senior Portfolio Manager - Portfolio Focus and holds a Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®) designation from the Investments and Wealth Institute through the University of California at Berkeley Haas School of Business and a degree in Economics from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
Patrick was named to the Forbes/Shook Best-in-State Wealth Advisors list in 2022, 2023 and 2024, as well as AdvisorHub Advisors to Watch list in 2022 and 2023.
Patrick is actively involved with multiple non-profit organizations in the San Francisco Bay Area. He is the founder of the Marin Highlanders Rugby program which teaches the unique ethos, traditions and values of the game to well over 200 children and their families (many of whom are on scholarship as no child is turned away due to lack of financial resources). He actively supports both The Transcendence Theatre Company of Sonoma and The Mill Valley Film Festival. In addition, Patrick also holds a Black Belt in Kempo Karate and remains dedicated to passing on the traditions and discipline of the martial arts to local youth.
