Barb began her career at RBC Wealth Management in 1998, after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in finance. She initially worked exclusively with mutual funds and annuities at the RBC Wealth Management – U.S. home office. In 2006, she transitioned to working directly with clients. In her first role, as a registered client associate, she focused on client service. In her current role, she is as an integral member of the advisory team.
Barb joined the Hegge Rykken Team in 2019 as a senior financial associate. Daily activities now include conducting client strategy meetings, developing RBC WealthPlans, reviewing portfolios and conducting most of the trading activities for the team. Barb recently obtained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional designation, which required completion of an extensive curriculum, a rigorous test, and requires ongoing continuing education.
Barb resides in Brooklyn Park with her long-time fiancé, Bob. They have two grown children, Erin and Jayme, who both live and work in the Twin Cities, and they have one grandson, Logan. In her spare time, she enjoys golfing, traveling and spending time with her dog, Max, a Labrador/terrier mix. Barb is a longtime member and past president of the Edinburgh Women’s Golf Association.
