Alex began his financial career in 2005 and partnered with Rick in 2008. He is now 33 years old with more than 13 years industry experience, which we believe makes him one of the most tenured investment professionals of his age anywhere. In both 2017 and 2018, he was lauded by Forbes Magazine as one of the nation’s Top Next Generation Wealth Advisors, described in the article as the “future of the wealth management industry.” In addition to his industry experience, Alex has received both his Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor® designation and the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification. These designations place him near the top of the industry in terms of formal retirement and financial planning education. Both designations required completion of an extensive curriculum, rigorous tests and ongoing education.

Alex is a St. Paul native and a graduate of both Minnehaha Academy and the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management. He currently lives in Shoreview, Minnesota, with his wife, Allison, and their two young sons. Alex is an active volunteer with the Minnesota Zoo Foundation and is a 2017 graduate of the St. Paul Chamber’s Leadership St. Paul development program. He spends his increasingly limited free time reading, cooking and ultramarathon running. Alex is working toward a goal of completing a marathon or longer in every state. He has completed eight states and is hoping to have number nine done soon. His sons love the jogging stroller and they put in a lot of good miles together going to their favorite local parks.

"People are often unreasonable, irrational and self-centered; forgive them anyway.  If you are kind, people may accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives; be kind anyway.  If you are successful, you will win some unfaithful friends and some genuine enemies; succeed anyway.  What you spend years creating, others could destroy overnight; create anyway.  If you find serenity and happiness, some may be jealous; be happy anyway.  The good you do today, will often be forgotten; do good anyway.  Give the best you have, and it may never be enough; give your best anyway.  In the final analysis, it is between you and God; it was never between you and them anyway."
