Jacob is a dedicated financial advisor with a strong foundation in the industry. Born and raised in Greybull, Wyoming, Jacob’s parents pastored a church for 35 years, instilling in him a sense of community and commitment. He graduated from Montana State University in 2001 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology, laying the groundwork for his future career.
Prior to pursuing a financial career, Jacob worked in various professional roles across multiple industries, including accounting, customer service, banking and insurance. He had the opportunity to work with notable companies such as First Interstate Bank and Nordstrom, as well as smaller start-up companies. This diverse experience sparked his interest in wealth management, leading him to pursue additional education through Montana State University’s master’s program for family financial planning.
Jacob’s professional journey continued as he worked for one year at Principal Financial Group before joining RBC Wealth Management in January 2025. He has achieved significant milestones, including passing the SIE, Series 7 and 66 exams in 2025, and obtaining a license in life and health insurance in the state of Montana.
Outside of his professional life, Jacob enjoys living in Billings, Montana, with his family. After residing in several cities, including Bozeman, Seattle and Salt Lake City, they returned to Billings in 2016 to raise their children closer to extended family. Jacob and his wife, a Billings native, are proud to call the city home. They stay active by attending their kids’ soccer games at Amend Park, taking day trips to the mountains and appreciating the local arts and culture scene.
