Since graduating from Arizona State University with a general business degree, she has accumulated over 20 years of experience in financial services and banking. She also earned a diploma from the Graduate School of Banking program in July 2005. She has passed the Series 7, 31, and 66 exams and holds multiple state insurance licenses. In 2017 successfully completed the Advanced Wealth Manager training program, earning her the credentials of AWM.
Janet spent 7 years working as a Financial Advisor/District Manager with IDS Financial Services, a division of American Express, in Scottsdale, AZ. Upon returning to her home state of Colorado, she worked for Home State Bank for 14 years, 10 of which she was a member of the Senior Management Team with concurrent titles of V.P. of Treasury Management and V.P. of Training & Development.
She grew up on a dairy farm in Northeastern Colorado. After attending ASU, she met and married her husband Paul and they now live in Fort Collins with their son Zane. She actively volunteers in the community and takes great pride in developing long-term relationships in order for her clients to be personally and financially successful.
Current community activities include: Board Member of Rotary International and member of The Moxie Exchange.
Former community activities include: Board Member for Pretty Brainy, Board Member for United Way of Larimer County, Women Give member, Colorado Women of Influence member, Graduate of the Leadership Loveland program, and a Poudre School District volunteer.
