With 24 years of experience in the financial services industry, John Henry joined RBC Wealth Management in 2016. He is a member of the Institutional Consulting Group for RBC Wealth Management out of their Glastonbury office, and has comprehensive knowledge of the corporate regulatory and legislative environment, which he incorporates into his investment strategies.
John Henry specializes in corporate retirement plans and endowment and pension consulting. He advises private and public companies in creating a written investment policy statement, investment selection and ongoing monitoring along with delivering on-going customized education and advising individual employees. In May 2015, John Henry was named to the inaugural list of the Financial Times Top 401 Retirement Advisors.
John Henry is active within his community, serving on the board of directors for several organizations, including the Business for Downtown Hartford, Riverfront Recapture and the Mandell Greater Hartford Jewish Community Center and previously served as the treasurer and a deacon at Asylum Hill Congregational Church. He serves as treasurer for the Mandell GHJCC and chairman for the Big Mo’, the largest annual fundraiser for Riverfront Recapture. John Henry is also a member of the Estate and Business Planning Council of Hartford.
In 2012, he took a leave of absence from work to run for U.S. Congress in the First Congressional District of Connecticut, and although he did not win, he found the experience to be humbling and enriching. Outside of work and his philanthropic activities, John Henry enjoys coaching youth sports and spending time with his wife and three children.
