Qualifications
I started in the securities business in 1999. Over the years, I have worked for Warner Group Inc., Sioux City, Iowa (a locally owned investment firm where I partnered with the president, James Warner), Morgan Stanley, Sioux City, Iowa, and currently RBC Wealth Management at the Dakota Dunes, South Dakota office. At Morgan Stanley, I was not only a financial advisor but also the resident manager, with my Series 9/10 license. I am currently licensed in several states for securities, mutual funds, and insurance business. For those who wish to fully rely on my expertise and experience, I offer the RBC Wealth Management Portfolio Focus program. This is a personalized portfolio management program which only a select group of RBC Wealth Management Advisors qualify for. With the Portfolio Focus program, I can make investment decisions on your behalf, which allows you to simplify your life by not having to make complicated investment decisions. This program also works well for clients who travel or are not easily accessible.
Personal
I grew up in Hinton, Iowa, with a strong work ethic working in the family appliance business. I attended South Dakota State University with a degree in mathematics and graduated in 1998. After graduation, I went to work for Rockwell-Collins in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. My wife, Tonya, and I have three children: Brody, Kenedi and Dawson, and we currently reside in Hinton. For several years, I served as the Hinton High School varsity boys basketball coach. Most of my leisurely activities involve spending time with my family. Our children are involved in various school activities ranging from band and chorus to basketball and baseball.
