Kurt makes it his mission to understand the complexities, risks and rewards of the financial markets. Consequently, one of his roles on the team is researching thousands of investment products in order to identify those with strong risk-return characteristics, and then constructing investment portfolios for Kieckhaefer Wealth Management Group’s clients.
He became interested in financial services and studying investment risks while working in cardiology diagnostics and sports medicine, and eventually switched careers to become a financial advisor in 2000. Previously, Kurt worked at Strong Capital Management, Wells Fargo Funds, Wachovia Securities and Wells Fargo Advisors before joining RBC Wealth Management.
Kurt earned his Bachelor of Science degree in allied health from University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and passed the Series 7, 63 and 65 exams.
Outside of his professional interests, Kurt and his wife, Holly, raise Cocker Spaniels and Bernese Mountain dogs, while also hosting international exchange students. They have a global extended family of 19 students they’ve hosted. Kurt also enjoys working in his yard, listening to educational podcasts, walking or jogging outside, playing tennis or golf and helping friends and family with landscaping projects.
