Qualifications
I have been a financial advisor for 28 years. I began my career in 1985 with what was then PaineWebber. I joined RBC Wealth Management in May of 2009. My assistant and I have combined experience of 40 years. Prior to graduating college I worked in the construction, management, architecture and service professions.
In 1985, I graduated from Arizona State with a degree in Business Management. I completed the requisite training for the Equity Institute through my former firm, PaineWebber. I have attended a number of graduate symposiums from the Wharton Business School known as the Hanover Forum. I earned membership into the most senior Retirement Planning and Managed Account affinity groups while at my prior firm. I was in the inaugural class of the Center for Planned Giving sponsored by the Arizona Community Foundation. This 18 month program taught the intricacies of endowment building and high-level fund raising for non-profits. The goal is to make qualifying non-profits self sustaining.
While at my prior firm, I was a member of the UBS President’s Council for 10 years straight. This is a level of professional achievement within the firm. I have been nominated as a life member of the board of directors for the Foundation for Blind Children. While acting as the board president, I assisted the agency in raising over $3 million and also chaired a dinner event which raised over $1 million for the blind children of Phoenix and the surrounding area. During my tenure, I was interviewed on television and radio numerous times for my achievements with the agency.
