I split time between my office in Los Angeles, California, and Scottsdale, Arizona. Since 1994, I have served the needs of high-net-worth families and institutional clients, whose high level of complexity requires sophisticated solutions.
I provide the personal touch of a trusted family-office-style advisor. For institutional clients, such as Superfund sites, private foundations and corporations, I also assist in creating and monitoring an Investment Policy Statement (IPS), assigning fiduciary responsibilities and collaborating with business managers, CPAs and attorneys.
Prior to joining RBC Wealth Management in 2008, I worked as a financial advisor at well-known firms such as Wachovia (formerly A.G. Edwards & Sons), Wells Fargo Private Client Services, and Oppenheimer & Co. I have been honored with the prestigious Chairman’s Council award at RBC Wealth Management continually since 2009.
After receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from the University of California, Los Angeles, I went on to earn my MBA from the USC Marshall School of Business with an emphasis in finance. Additionally, I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) practitioner and a Certified Investment Management Consultant (CIMC®). I also earned the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation. AIF designees are well-positioned to advise fiduciaries on the legal standards required to prudently manage investment decisions and conduct comprehensive fiduciary assessments.
Originally from Pennsylvania, I grew up in Beverly Hills, California, and continue to live in the area with my wife, Patricia, and our sons, Samuel and Michael. I am involved with several charities including the Jewish Vocational Services, Ocean Park Community Center (OPCC), and Tower Cancer Research Foundation. I am a first responder and an amateur radio operator for the Los Angeles Fire Department and participates in Community Emergency Response Training. I also enjoy giving archery lessons.
