Mary Ann graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor of Arts degree in French. She taught at a private Seattle school for four years. After marrying Larry Heeren, they accepted a two-year assignment teaching English as U.S. Peace Corps volunteers in Afghanistan. Upon returning to Seattle, she entered the investment world. Mary Ann has a commitment to empowerment, both financial and personal, and she leads leadership and investment workshops for clients, colleagues and friends.
Mary Ann is a member of the RBC Senior Portfolio Manager – Portfolio Focus Group. She holds Series 7, 63 and 65 securities licenses as well as life and disability insurance licenses. She served on the RBC Financial Advisors Advisory Council and the Advisory Board of the Women’s Association of Financial Advisors.
Among Mary Ann’s honors is inclusion in Money Magazine, in which she was named “One of Seattle’s Best Stockbrokers.” She is a panel member of The Metropolitan Grill’s annual “Guess the Dow” contest.
Mary Ann and Larry continue to pursue their interests in the people of the world. Beyond traveling, they both volunteer and contributed to diverse organizations including The Hunger Project, YWCA of King County, Childhaven, PARSA helping Afghans, Friends of Afghanistan, The Nature Conservancy, and Earthwatch.
