Michael provides a personalized approach to wealth management for his clients, including business owners, corporate executives and professional
athletes—specifically hockey players. With a passion for the financial markets and helping people achieve their goals, Michael began his career in the financial services industry in 2016. Prior to joining RBC Wealth Management, he worked as a commodity trader in the grain industry with CHS, Inc.
Michael has extensive training and has earned the Certified Private Wealth Advisor® certification, the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ designation and the Certified Plan Fiduciary Advisor™ credential. As of April 2023, Michael is one of 60 financial advisors in Minnesota to have obtained the CPWA® certification.
After graduating from Shattuck- St. Mary’s School, Michael was drafted in the second round by the Pittsburgh Penguins. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Minnesota Duluth, where he was a member of the men’s hockey team and a three-time All-Academic conference team selection. After his time as a UMD Bulldog, Michael was fortunate to play professional hockey for three years.
A Minnesota native, Michael grew up on a farm outside of Hastings and currently resides in the Minneapolis area with his wife, Maureen, and daughter, Elizabeth. While away from work, he enjoys spending time with family and staying active, whether it’s playing hockey or on a golf course. Michael also volunteers on the board of directors for the Shattuck- St. Mary’s Foundation, is an active member with the Economic Club of Minnesota and coaches in the Minnetonka Youth Hockey Association.
