Kirstin Turner

Senior Managing Director - Complex Director

As the complex director for Florida, Kirstin brings over 14 years of industry experience as both a successful financial advisor and branch manager to her role. Florida is a growing market and Kirstin believes that RBC Wealth Management is a unique firm in the industry ­— a boutique firm feel with the products and services of a large investment firm and the financial strength of The Royal Bank of Canada, one of the world's strongest banks. Her commitment to Florida is apparent through the community involvement of Kirstin and her team. Each year RBC has a large presence in the golfing and art community through their partnership with the Honda Classic and the Salvador Dali museum. Kirstin is committed to diversity and is a member of RBC Wealth Management’s GLADE and WAFA associations.

Kirstin loves to run, fish and cook. She is a member of the Women’s Resource Center, Coastal Conservation Association, Compassion International and the Loggerhead Marine Life Center. She was raised in Florida and is a graduate of Florida State University. She lives in Jupiter, Florida with her husband, Telby, and their three children.

Joyce Hurff

Vice President - Assistant Complex Manager, Private Client Group


Joyce joined JB Hanauer in 1983 as a receptionist and worked over the next 26 years in many different positions from a sales assistant to an assistant at the trading desk. In 2009, when JB Hanauer became RBC Wealth Management, she was given the position of Associate Complex Manager which later became the Assistant Complex Manager. She just celebrated her 30th anniversary. Joyce is the recipient of the 2014 RBC Financial Group Award of Excellence.

Joyce moved to the town of Jupiter this past year to be close to her daughter, son-in-law, and twin grandchildren. Most of her free time is spent with them.

Licenses: 7, 63, 65, 9 and 10. Life, health, and variable annuity license.

Carmel Harrell

Vice President - Assistant Complex Manager


Carmel began her career in the financial services industry in 1993 at Dean Witter Reynolds in New Haven, Connecticut. She held management positions at Smith Barney and Morgan Stanley before joining RBC Wealth Management as an assistant complex manager for the Florida complex. Carmel prides herself in building strong relationships with her colleagues and ensuring the needs of our clients are met. In her free time she enjoys the Florida lifestyle of spending time at the beach, and listening to live music with her husband, daughter and grandson.

Sean Gray

Vice President - Consultant, Wealth Management


Sean Gray is a wealth management consultant for RBC Wealth Management. Sean is based in Florida and helps financial advisors and their clients identify strategies to accumulate wealth and convert that wealth to income, based on client objectives, in RBC Wealth Management’s East division.

As part of his responsibilities, Sean helps RBC Wealth Management financial advisors address the investment and retirement planning needs of high-net-worth individuals. Sean provides expertise to financial advisors who work with endowments, non-profits and foundations. He also assists financial advisors in using internal and external wealth management tools, including sophisticated software programs, to help provide appropriate solutions for clients’ needs. He frequently makes presentations at seminars and client meetings, giving overviews of RBC Wealth Management’s fee-based wealth management platform and other capabilities.

Prior to taking on the wealth management consultant role, Sean spent more than four years with RBC Wealth Management’s Portfolio Advisory Group, completing stints on both the U.S. Equities and Fixed Income Strategies teams. During that time, he primarily focused on portfolio management, having co-chaired the investment committee for the Active Allocation Portfolio, RBC Wealth Management’s tactical, global asset allocation strategy. In addition, Sean was a regular contributor to RBC Wealth Management’s research publications and was a former author of the Monthly Scorecard. Sean earned an MBA in finance from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and Management where he was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, The International Honor Society. Prior to Pepperdine, Sean earned a Bachelor of Science degree in supply chain and information systems from the Pennsylvania State University. Sean is a CFA charter holder, is a member of the CFA institute and the CFA Society of Minnesota and holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses.
