Sean Gray is a wealth management consultant for RBC Wealth Management. Sean is based in Florida and helps financial advisors and their clients identify strategies to accumulate wealth and convert that wealth to income, based on client objectives, in RBC Wealth Management’s East division.
As part of his responsibilities, Sean helps RBC Wealth Management financial advisors address the investment and retirement planning needs of high-net-worth individuals. Sean provides expertise to financial advisors who work with endowments, non-profits and foundations. He also assists financial advisors in using internal and external wealth management tools, including sophisticated software programs, to help provide appropriate solutions for clients’ needs. He frequently makes presentations at seminars and client meetings, giving overviews of RBC Wealth Management’s fee-based wealth management platform and other capabilities.
Prior to taking on the wealth management consultant role, Sean spent more than four years with RBC Wealth Management’s Portfolio Advisory Group, completing stints on both the U.S. Equities and Fixed Income Strategies teams. During that time, he primarily focused on portfolio management, having co-chaired the investment committee for the Active Allocation Portfolio, RBC Wealth Management’s tactical, global asset allocation strategy. In addition, Sean was a regular contributor to RBC Wealth Management’s research publications and was a former author of the Monthly Scorecard. Sean earned an MBA in finance from Pepperdine University’s Graziadio School of Business and Management where he was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, The International Honor Society. Prior to Pepperdine, Sean earned a Bachelor of Science degree in supply chain and information systems from the Pennsylvania State University. Sean is a CFA charter holder, is a member of the CFA institute and the CFA Society of Minnesota and holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses.
