Jim has been in the financial services industry helping clients for more than 30 years. A native Duluthian, he graduated from the University of Minnesota – Duluth in 1980 and started his career in Minneapolis at the IDS home office. Jim joined the Duluth office of RBC Wealth Management in 1984, and shortly thereafter, finished his studies to earn the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification. From 1989-1998, Jim was with the Duluth office of Piper Jaffray, where he earned the titles of managing director – investments, and assistant branch manager. In 1998, he rejoined the Duluth RBC Wealth Management office. Jim, his wife and three daughters are active volunteers. He previously served as the president of Scottish Rite Foundation of Duluth for 19 years. Jim is proud to have helped establish the Scottish Rite Clinic for Childhood Language Disorders as a standalone clinic in Duluth, providing services free of charge to over 2,000 children.
