Sally has been in the financial services industry since 1993, transitioning from a prestigious career in politics. As part of her expertise, she holds the Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®) and Accredited Wealth Manager (AWM) designations. The Accredited Investment Fiduciary demonstrates she is interested in and working towards the best interests of her clients. The Accredited Wealth Manager program is designed to provide financial professionals with training in advanced wealth management strategies and is offered exclusively by RBC Wealth Management to a select group of financial advisors. The training focuses on estate planning, insurance solutions, advanced investment strategies and business succession planning. In addition to these designations, she holds the Series 7, 31, 63 and 65 licenses as well as life and health insurance licenses.
Sally has been recognized both locally and nationally for her accomplishments. She has been named one of the top 150 financial advisors in the D.C. Metropolitan area by Washingtonian Magazine several times, and has been interviewed by publications such as Forbes. Sally has also been recognized within RBC Wealth Management by being named to the firms Chairman’s Council, an honor bestowed upon the top 150 financial advisors in the firm. For many years, she has served as a guest lecturer at the Foreign Service institute, speaking on personal financial planning.
Sally has specialized experience in national political and economic issues, and a keen understanding of how these issues may affect financial markets and ultimately client goals and objectives. This proficiency was gained in her ten plus years of experience in Washington, D.C., serving in positions with the U.S. House of Representatives, the U.S. Senate and both the Reagan and Bush administrations. She was appointed by President Ronald Reagan as a member of the Provider Reimbursement Review Board and appointed as the Deputy Assistant Secretary for Legislation; and later to be a member of the PRRB Counsel for the United States Department of Health and Human Services. Prior to that, she served in the private sector as the senior legislative counsel for the Alliance of American Insurers and lobbyist for the American Insurance Association. She also served on President Reagan’s Private Sector Survey and Cost Control Commission (The Grace Commission).
Active in many civic causes, Sally currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Metropolitan Washington. Sally also served as a member of the Board of the Women’s Association of Financial Advisors and as President of the Denison University DC Alumni club.
A graduate of Denison University in Granville, Ohio, with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Sally also has a Juris Doctor from Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law in Ada, Ohio. She and her husband are residents of Keswick, VA and Washington DC.
