Wayne graduated from North Dakota State University in 1982 with a degree in business administration. He has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, including a decade with Dain Bosworth. Wayne received the Forbes Best-in-State Wealth Advisor award in 2023 and AdvisorHub "Advisors to Watch" award in 2023.

Wayne lives in St. Cloud with his wife, Juli, and their son, Isaac. Wayne shares his time and talent in several organizations, including Tech High School Football, St. Cloud Rotary Club, North Dakota State University Foundation and the Central Minnesota Community Foundation.

Focused on understanding the needs and goals of his clients, Jeff believes that clients deserve a caring, competent advisor who delivers service with unwavering standards of integrity. He joined the team in 1999 and has more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. Jeff firmly believes that understanding each customer’s objective, time frame and financial condition is the only way to create a plan that truly reflects their individual needs. Investment plans are implemented through the assessment of clients’ goals and risk tolerance, customizing an asset allocation model, selecting individual securities or professional money managers, and then monitoring and reporting investment performance. Depending on the client’s needs, alternative investment strategies may be used. Managing risk and cash flow for his clients is an essential part of Jeff’s practice.

Jeff graduated from St. Cloud State University in 1993 with a degree in finance. He lives in Sauk Rapids with his wife, Michelle, and their three daughters. He loves spending time with his family and they enjoy all sports together. Jeff is active in numerous local organizations, including as past president of the Downtown Kiwanis Club and as a youth basketball coach with St. Cloud Area Basketball Association.

Alex Coulter

With a passion for assisting younger clients who are just beginning their financial journey, Alex takes pride in walking them through each piece of the financial planning process in a clear and strategic manner. Alex works with our mutual insurance clients. With Schluchter Investment Group’s experience of working with more than half of Minnesota’s mutual insurance companies, he can offer a time-tested process to simplify the role of board members and the responsibility they have to the policyholders of their company.

Alex graduated from Winona State University with a degree in finance, and with an MBA from St. Cloud State University.

Alex lives in Sartell with his wife Paige, and children Rhett and Brynn. He loves spending time with his family and they enjoy traveling, hiking and golfing. Alex is an active member of the community and serves as the President of the Board of Directors at Quiet Oaks Hospice.

Kim Thyen Nies

Kim has enjoyed 30 years working in the financial industry with Schluchter Investment Group. Kim attended Concordia College and graduated magna cum laude from St. Cloud State University with a degree in communications and she has passed the FINRA Series 7 securities exam. Clients benefit from her experience and passion to provide premier client service.

Kim and her husband, Jason, live in Sartell and have the privilege of parenting four children. They are involved in their children’s activities, their church and their school district. They enjoy volunteering and traveling together. Kim’s greatest pride and joy is her family.

Janet came to our team from the nonprofit sector. She has been with Schluchter Investment Group for over 10 years. Janet graduated from the University of Northwestern with a degree in business and from Bethel University, magna cum laude. She has passed her FINRA Series 7 exam. She plays a key role in providing our clients with a seamless experience and positive outcomes.

Janet enjoys spending quality time with her husband Paige and her family. Janet enjoys traveling, photography and volunteering with community organizations.

Jen graduated from St. Cloud State University with a Bachelor of Science in Community Health and an Associate of Applied Science in Sales and Management from St. Cloud Technical College. Professionally, Jen is excited to be a part of a caring team that strives to help each of their clients reach their unique financial goals.

Outside of work, Jen enjoys time with her two young children. They love being outdoors gardening, hiking, playing Frisbee or just basking in the sunshine.
