I began my career on Wall Street in 1997 at Goldman Sachs, as a fixed income institutional analyst. After moving to Los Angeles and working in the entertainment industry at firms including Propaganda Films and William Morris Agency, I returned to finance at UBS and subsequently Morgan Stanley.
In 2017, I joined RBC Wealth Management as a portfolio manager, managing assets for nonprofits, foundations, endowments, donor advised funds, as well as private clients. I became an early adopter of responsible investing, championing impact strategies focusing on the use of private capital for social good. From ESG integration to developing strategies for fossil fuel, firearms and private prison divestment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, I have directed value-aligned strategies for more than 15 years. I am a frequent speaker on impact investing, having presented or lectured at the United Nations in Geneva, the USSIF/Forum for Sustainable and Responsible Investing, as well as various global conferences and universities.
In addition to my professional endeavors, I am a social justice activist, focusing on issues related to racial justice and equity. I have served on the boards of One Community (fka Good Films), as well as the University of Southern California’s Rossier School of Education Board of Councilors, the ACLU of Southern California, Families in School and the Special Needs Network.
Born in Manchester, England and raised in Scotland, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and New York, I truly am a global citizen. In addition to my childhood experiences, I have worked in Japan, Hong Kong and London and traveled to more than 40 countries. I earned a dual Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science degree from Columbia University in economics and industrial engineering, where I also lettered in varsity track and field and cross country.
My specialties include helping clients with philanthropy, investment management and investment policy statements for endowments, nonprofits and foundations, financial planning and asset allocation for athletes and entertainers as well as financial empowerment and education for women.
