Brooks was born and raised in Berkshire County. After graduating from Williams College in 2009 with a degree in Religious Studies, he spent time living and working in Boston, Los Angeles, and Providence before returning to the Berkshires to take a position with The Sherman Investment Group. He is a CFA Charterholder and also holds his Series 7, Series 66, and MA life and long term care insurance licenses. Brooks’ work as a team member and advisor primarily focuses on providing recommendations for matching investments with specific client goals, as well as ensuring that client assets are invested in line with their risk tolerance and the Group’s views of the world economy and markets. He believes that the keys to financial success are developing a plan, understanding the risks involved, and having the patience to see it through.
Outside of work, Brooks is an active member of the First United Methodist Church of Pittsfield and of the Pittsfield Rotary Club. He enjoys appreciating the arts, especially live music and theater, and studying history and political thought. He is also working on expanding the list of dishes he can cook. He currently resides in Pittsfield, MA.
