Madeleine joined RBC Wealth Management and the SMJ Wealth Management Group in 2023. She comes from a family with a career background in the financial services industry. Madeleine was exposed to the financial markets at a very young age, as her father is a financial advisor. Her primary goal is to have a tangible impact on people’s lives, helping individuals and their families achieve their financial goals for retirement, education and more.
Prior to becoming a financial advisor, Madeleine worked in the institutional equites division at Morgan Stanley on the electronic trading desk. Madeleine held two summer internships in that division, where she rotated through the electronic trading desk, cash trading, portfolio salestrading and numerous sales desks. During that time, she formulated single name trade pitches, including P&Ls, catalysts, projections and overall sector performance.
Upon college graduation, she continued as a full-time analyst on the Morgan Stanley electronic trading desk, covering more than a dozen long short and long only hedge funds. She earned a bachelor’s degree from the Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management at Cornell University. She majored in applied economics and management, with a concentration in finance, and did so in less than four years with summa cum laude honors. In addition, Madeleine passed the SIE, Series 3, 7, 57, 63 and 65 exams and holds the New York life, accident and health insurance licenses.
Madeleine grew up in Oakmont, Pennsylvania, a small town outside of Pittsburgh, with her two siblings, stepmother, father and mother. In the city, she enjoys attending cycling classes, going for walks on the West Side Highway, dining out in the West Village, attending concerts and listening to ‘80s music in her free time.
