Alison has enjoyed 35 years in the financial services industry. She is a senior vice president and, as a senior portfolio manager, utilizes quality fundamentals with a rules-based technical overlay to optimize performance and risk management, and to remove emotion from the decision-making process. She maintains a rigorous focus on both analytics and investment knowledge.
Multiple decades in the industry have shaped her belief that risk management and capital preservation can be achieved through a combination of investment counsel, advanced planning and relationship management. Prior to choosing RBC Wealth Management, Alison spent 33 years at Morgan Stanley (and predecessor firms).
Alison’s volunteer activities focus on students. She sits on the board of directors for the New College Foundation. New College is the honors college of the Florida State University system, located in Sarasota; she chairs the investment committee, and participates in the governance committee. Alison is involved in Take Stock in Children and its alliance with Sarasota Ballet’s Dance the Next Generation. She is also a Big Sister in the local Big Brothers, Big Sisters program.
As a certified Reiki master, Alison seeks balance in life. Children and grandchildren offer plenty of opportunities for travel. Alison received her MBA degree from New York University’s Stern School and her Certificat d’Etude from La Sorbonne in Paris, France. Alison received a Bachelor of Arts degree magna cum laude from Duke University.
