Taunya has been an investment professional for nearly 25 years. She began her investment career at Ragen MacKenzie as a stock market analyst where she embraced their unique value-investment discipline. With her noteworthy stock track record, she spent 13 years providing investment ideas for Ragen MacKenzie and its follow-on firm, RMG Asset Management.
Taunya takes tremendous care to understand an individual’s investment needs and their tolerance for risk and is also focused on tailoring tax-considerate portfolios. She puts a large focus on financial education.
Taunya devotes her time to understanding the companies in which she invests, world markets, geopolitics and the economy. She also has specific expertise in technology, biotechnology and med-tech investments through her work at Ragen MacKenzie and as a scientist at the University of Washington. She has supported the work at Seattle’s ISB, formerly the Institute for Systems Biology, and is currently a member of the Seattle Alliance of Angels. Before her investment career, she distinguished herself as a scientist by being awarded a Howard Hughes Fellowship. In her last position, she worked with two Nobel laureates.
Taunya lives on Guemes Island with her husband, two sons and the family dog. She loves the outdoors and enjoys sailing, hiking and spending time at her cabin in the North Cascades.
