Joe Martello is a Managing Director - Financial Advisor at RBC Wealth Management, formerly Sutro & Company. He has been assisting high net worth individuals in achieving their investment goals since 1985.

Joe specializes in municipal, corporate and government bonds. He also advises his clientele on their retirement portfolios and estate planning needs. Managing over $900 million in client assets, Joe’s investment philosophy leans more toward the conservative side. He believes that money is a lot harder to keep than it is to make and that tortoise, versus the hare, ultimately wins the race.

Being a member of RBC Wealth Management’s Chairman’s Council, Joe is one of the top 100 financial advisors in the firm. He maintains an office in Monterey, CA. Joe graduated in 1981 from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration. He currently resides in Pebble Beach with his wife, Janine. Besides being a family man, Joe is an avid reader and enjoys a variety of athletic activities.

Annie Wight, CFP®

Senior Financial Associate


Annie joined RBC Wealth Management in September of 2007. She received her BA from UC Berkeley in 2007 where she also played water polo. In 2008 Annie received the RBC Award of Excellence where she was recognized for her outstanding performance.

Annie has her Series 7 and 66 FINRA registrations, and is a Certified Financial Planner. She obtained her insurance license in 2014. Annie helps clients review and construct asset allocations, provides guidance on retirement income planning and assists clients with the different phases of estate planning.

Annie enjoys participating in the Swim Across America San Francisco to raise funds for cancer research. When she's not in the office Annie enjoys yoga, the beach and spending time with her family.

Kathleen Huggins

Kathleen joined RBC Wealth Management in April 2012, after spending numerous years within the banking and educational sectors. Kathleen received her BA from California Coast University in 2003. In 2013, she received the RBC Award of Excellence where she was recognized for her exceptional performance. In addition, Kathleen also received an award in 2014 for promoting Culture throughout the RBC San Francisco Complex.  She holds the Series 7 securities license.

Kathleen is actively involved in non-profit/service organizations within the community. Under her leadership, Kathleen helped fundraise over $1 million for the American Cancer Society, three consecutive years. She believes in giving back to one's community and has passed this philosophy onto her two daughters, Alexandra & Olivia. In addition to family time, Kathleen enjoys photography, golfing, and playing with her 2 border collies.
