As co-founder of The Seline Team, Phil’s core belief is that in order to build trust, every client relationship must be developed through a process of discovery, planning and personalized recommendations. Because of this belief, he has earned the respect of his clients during more than 25 years in the financial services industry, particularly in retirement planning.

Phil graduated from the University of Iowa, College of Business, with a Bachelor’s degree in business administration. He began his career with Dain Bosworth in 1987, working as an Advisor until he transitioned to Smith Barney in 1996. He was with the company for 13 years until it was acquired by Morgan Stanley. In June of 2014, Phil transferred to RBC Wealth Management, where he anticipates a long and successful career with the company.

Phil lives in Bettendorf with his wife, Renee, and their two sons, Bryce and Blake. He enjoys running local road races, playing golf at the Crow Valley Country Club, and is an active member at St. John Vianney Catholic Church.

Malcolm Seline

Vice President - Financial Advisor, Consulting Group

A co-founder of The Seline Team, a dynamic brother partnership, Malcolm prioritizes getting to know clients, and what is important to them, and developing meaningful relationships over time, before making any financial recommendations.

Malcolm has been involved in the financial services industry for the past thirty years: twenty-two of those years in the mortgage industry, and the past eight in the securities industry. He became a financial advisor in 2007 with Smith Barney which later became Morgan Stanley. Malcolm moved his practice to RBC Wealth Management in October of 2014 to team with his brother Phil. He is a graduate of the University of Iowa with a degree in business administration and finance.

Malcolm and his wife Myrna live in Davenport with their two dogs, Lucky and Marco. They have been married for twenty-six years and have two daughters, both of whom live in southern California with their families. In his spare time, Malcolm enjoys bicycle riding, and has recently participated in three RAGBRAI’s. He also regularly joins his wife on the tennis courts, as she is an avid player who belongs to both the Bettendorf and Quad City tennis clubs. Malcolm also volunteers as a money manager for Alternatives for the Older Adult.

Brandon VanDeWalle

Brandon graduated from Mount Mercy University with bachelor's degrees in accounting and management in 2003. After starting his career in the medical field, where he developed a passion for building and maintaining strong client relationships, Brandon joined RBC Wealth Management as an Associate Financial Advisor. As a member of the Seline Team, he provides the knowledge and guidance to help you successfully navigate your financial future.

Brandon resided in Champaign, Illinois for seven years, but has always worn black and gold proudly. During his years as a student, he was a collegiate athlete on the men's basketball team. He enjoys spending his free time with my nieces and nephew and volunteering. He is also a member of the Quad Cities Chamber and a local church.

Courtney Rodriguez

Branch Service Manager/Registered Client Assoc

Courtney has been part of The Seline Team for over 10 years. Her main focus is to provide excellent customer service and work diligently to meet client needs. She is frequently the first point of contact for general client questions. 

A native of the Quad Cities, Courtney graduated with an Associate’s degree from Scott Community College, and later obtained a Business Administration degree from St. Ambrose University. She began her career with Smith Barney in 2004, where she joined Phil’s, and later Malcolm’s, financial team. She moved with the pair to Morgan Stanley in 2009, and again in June of 2014 to RBC Wealth Management.

Courtney lives in Davenport with her children – two sons and one daughter. When she isn’t working or continuing her education, Courtney enjoys attending her children’s activities, volunteering at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, and spending time with family and friends.
