Deborah Sullivan began her career in 1985 at Hefren-Tillotson, Inc. where she served as vice president and director of the financial planning department for many years. Having left that position to pursue her desire to work directly with clients, she has for over 20 years focused her practice on providing comprehensive wealth management services to high-net-worth individuals, corporate executives and small business owners. Deborah received the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification in 1988. The multi-year CFP® program entails in-depth courses training and comprehensive examinations in all areas of financial planning including investments, taxes, insurance, estate and retirement planning. These topics of study allow the CFP® professional to enhance their client relationships and add value toward helping clients achieve their financial objectives.

Deborah attended the Pennsylvania State University on a Senatorial Scholarship majoring in biochemistry and furthered her studies in business at the University of Houston. She has served in several leadership roles within the Financial Planning Association including being appointed to the National Financial Planner Advisory Council in 2000, the FPA’s inaugural year. Deborah’s credentials also include keynote speaking engagements and appearances on financial programs such as WPXI-TVs “Our Region’s Business” with Bill Flanagan and KDKA-AM 1020 Radio’s “Your Money and You.” She is an approved and appointed third party investment manager for The Pittsburgh Foundation. Deborah is a strong believer in educating her clients and has hosted public seminars and in-house corporate workshops on retirement planning, long term care insurance, and estate planning.  Deborah has also achieved RBC Wealth Management's Chairman's Council, which includes the top 150 financial advisors in the firm.

Active in her community, Deborah has raised money for the United Way, Family House, Ronald McDonald House, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Women’s Center & Shelter of Greater Pittsburgh, and Sister’s Place. She and her family reside in Peters Township. Together they enjoy golfing, biking and traveling.

David Schwartz, CFP®

David joined The Sullivan Group in 2013, as an intern, while attending the University of Pittsburgh. Since graduating in 2015 with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Business Administration, with a focus on finance; David has passed his SIE, Series 7, Series 66 exams and secured his PA resident life, accident and health insurance licenses.

Realizing he wanted to play a more integral role in helping clients achieve their goals, David attended Duquesne University to obtain his Executive Certificate in Financial Planning from the Palumbo-Donahue School of Business.

At the end of 2018, David earned his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certification. The multi-year CFP® program entails in-depth courses training and comprehensive examinations in all areas of financial planning including ethics, investments, taxes, insurance, estate and retirement planning. These topics of study allow the CFP® professional to enhance their client relationships and add value toward helping clients achieve their financial objectives.

David concentrates his talents on research, financial planning and client portfolio reviews. As a Financial Advisor, he looks forward to building more intimate client relationships and continuing the team’s reputation for exceptional client service.

In his spare time, David enjoys listening to music, traveling, hiking and cooking for his friends and family.

Kelly K Sullivan

Kelly’s interest in the financial services industry began in 2002 while interning during college. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration in 2004 from Duquesne University, she joined Legg Mason in the Pittsburgh office as a client associate. Since then, Kelly has furthered her experience in the financial services and wealth management areas by passing her Series 7 and Series 66 exams. She also holds licenses for life, health and accident insurance. She has always worked in a team environment and has applied her talents over the years to everything from marketing, to administration, to providing high level client service with a personal touch. Kelly is responsible for client onboarding and, as a fully-licensed member of our group, is able to help clients with their liquidity needs.

As an integral part of The Sullivan Group at RBC Wealth Management, Kelly’s duties have expanded over the years to include investment data and product analysis, client relationship management, team practice management, and all marketing and advertising for the group.

She resides in Finleyville with her husband, John. Her love for animals led to the adoptions of their dogs, Coco and Pebbles, and their cats, Peanut and Punkin. Kelly volunteers at local animal shelters in her spare time.

Jessica Nix

Jessica recently joined the Sullivan Group at RBC Wealth Management. Her individual goal is to become more versed within the financial services industry. Her goals of preserving excellent client relations and the anticipation of client needs align with that of the Sullivan Group.

Originally from Morgantown, West Virginia, Jessica received her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from West Virginia University. Shortly thereafter, she obtained a Master’s degree in Business Administration and Leadership from the University of Charleston.

In her spare time, Jessica spends time with her family, including her 2 year old daughter, Evaleigh. She also has a passion for cooking and enjoying the outdoors.
