I have over 30 years of experience as an investment executive in Minneapolis. I graduated from the College of St. Thomas in 1976 with a Bachelor of Art’s degree in Business. I proceeded to work as a Managing Director for Piper Jaffray Inc. for nearly 20 years before I made the move to RBC Wealth Management in January of 1998. I am extremely dedicated to my profession, choosing to grow my skills through continued education. In 2006, I attended the Wharton School of Business, completing their Wharton Private Wealth Management Professional Track Program. Then, in 2010, I attended Harvard Business School for their Private Equity and Venture Capital Executive Education Program.
Giving back to the community is very important to me, and I pride myself in being involved with multiple organizations throughout my career. Some of my charitable work includes: Board Member of the MacPhail Center for Music, the RBC Wealth Management Foundation, former Chairman of the Breck School Annual Fund, former Board Member of the Piper Jaffray Foundation, the Mixed Blood Theatre Company, and the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. I am also a proud member of The Minikahda Club, the Dunkers Club, and the St.Thomas Alumni Association.
I am a native Minnesotan and have always called the Twin Cities home. I have been married to my lovely wife since 1983 and we have raised two wonderful daughters. As a family, we have created many wonderful memories spending time at our lake home on Gull Lake in northern Minnesota. One of my proudest accomplishments is being a coach through the Minneapolis Park Board for my daughters’ soccer, basketball and softball teams.
