John has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry and is responsible for advising investment portfolios, asset allocations and debt management for our existing individual clients. He also works with our valued joint representatives to advise our clients on their qualified plan needs.
John holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Marshall University, where he was a three-year starter at quarterback and four-year letter winner for Marshall’s football team, including part of the 1987 National Championship runner-up team and starter for the 1988 Southern Conference Champions. John was inducted into the Marshall University Sports Hall of Fame in 1995. Prior to joining Marshall University, John was a 21st round high school draft pick of the Los Angeles Dodgers and played four years in their minor league system, including a Florida State League Championship in 1983.
John is a graduate of the West Virginia School of Banking and was a student representative on the board. He is a member of the Marshall University Quarterback club and an active member of Sleepy Hollow Golf Club, where he enjoys playing golf and spending time with friends and family. John and his wife, Karen, live in Hurricane, West Virginia. His daughter, Kaley, lives in Fairfax, Virginia, and was a record holder in the mile and four-year letter winner as a swimmer for Marshall University.
