Steve graduated from the University of Bridgeport with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications and attended the SIA Branch Management Institute at the Wharton Business School. He began his career in the financial services industry with Halpert and Company in 1987, and remained with them through their acquisition by J.B. Hanauer & Co. in 1996, which in turn was acquired by RBC Wealth Management. With more than 30 years of financial services experience, Steve was a senior vice president and director of the Philadelphia branch prior to his current role as director of the North Jersey Complex. Steve has passed the Series 7, 8, 24, 31, 63 and 65 securities examinations and is NMLS registered.
After supporting multiple company transitions, in 2012 Steve repositioned from Philadelphia to New Jersey where he began his role as complex director of the Florham Park Complex. In March 2016, the Florham Park Complex expanded with the addition of the Parsippany branch. During Steve’s role as complex director, in August 2017 the Florham Park and Parsippany offices merged in to an estimated 53,000 square foot office at its current location of 200 Park Avenue in Florham Park, New Jersey. The North Jersey Complex consists of approximately 89 financial advisors, 58 support staff and houses both the Northeastern Municipal Trading desk as well as the National CD Trading desk.
As a senior managing director of RBC, Steve is responsible for the sustainable growth and profitability of the complex. To achieve this, he focuses on helping financial advisors and branch managers improve and grow, supporting RBC Wealth Management’s growth initiatives. Steve’s leading area of concentration is recruiting top level financial advisors through the attraction and obtainment of talent, and increasing RBC Wealth Management’s visibility throughout the region.
Steve currently resides in Randolph, New Jersey, with his wife, Mandy, and their two children, Haley and Adam. In his spare time, he enjoys traveling and attending sporting events with his family. Steve gives back to his community by staying involved with the Special Olympics and helping raise money for several charities, including The Parkinson’s Foundation.
