I became a financial advisor after a 20-year career in branding and communications. For most of that time, I was an armchair investor and friends would ask me for financial advice.
When the pandemic hit, I found myself with the time to re-evaluate my path. I started studying to become a CFP(r) practioner, passed the required Series 7, 65 and 63 exams, and in 2022 I joined RBC Wealth Management. I haven’t regretted it for a second: helping people harness their wealth is the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done in my life.
Having an Air Force pilot for a dad, I moved around a lot. As a result, my clients, like my communities, are all over the place. I lived abroad in Germany and Sweden so I am acquainted with the challenges faced by ex-pats and multi-nationals. I am passionate about helping widows, anyone going through a divorce, and people who consider themselves financially challenged.
An avid sailor and former boat chef, I have sailed thousands of sea miles. My love of sailing is what sealed the bond with my husband Greg. We met while dressed as pirates on Catalina Island. Since then we have sailed throughout Florida and the Bahamas and we plan to one day cross the Atlantic.
We currently live in Palm Desert, California, but we spend time with family and friends as far-flung as Sweden and Bali. At any one time you might run into us outside of Philly or in Los Angeles, Grand Rapids, Raleigh or Rockport. We spend as much time as possible on our sailboat in Marina del Rey, and are proud new members of the Del Rey Yacht Club.
I have an MFA from Bennington College in Vermont and a BA from Calvin College in Michigan.
