After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Drew University in Madison, New Jersey, Brian returned to his home state of Connecticut where he helped run the family business. Brian was involved in production, employee management and corporate planning. In 2003, he returned to New Jersey and started a career in the financial services industry with Equitable Life Insurance. Brian was trained in insurance and estate planning as the mainstay of his business. When Equitable became AXA, the planning process grew to include investment planning. Due to his extensive planning experience, Brian was offered a position with one of the largest asset management groups at Smith Barney. While at Smith Barney he achieved the title Portfolio Manager, which allowed him to design, build, and manage discretionary portfolios. In 2007, Brian started his own firm Crestpointe Financial Partners which clear through Raymond James. After growing Crestpointe for 6 years, the firm attracted the eye of RBC Wealth Management. So in 2013, Crestpointe joined RBC Wealth Management to take advantage of their extensive investment and planning platforms. His specialization is in designing complex plans for upper management of large companies, small business owners, as well as sole proprietors. He has consulted to over 50 corporate retirement programs on plan design, benefits, and Investment Policy Statements. Brian has been involved in many facets of consulting services throughout his career, specifically wealth management consulting and retirement planning consulting, which include but are not limited to insurance products, estate planning, trust services, writing and managing hard dollar client agreements, investment policy planning, asset allocation, manager search and due diligence, performance risk measurement, oversight and development.
Brian enjoys coaching hockey and lacrosse and has been doing so for 13 years. While at Drew University, Brian was a 4 year Varsity Lacrosse player and captain. He brought his lacrosse knowledge and love of the game to the youth level and served as president of the Chester Mendham Lacrosse Program for 3 years. He continues to advance his knowledge as a hockey coach and currently holds a Level 4 USA Hockey Certification. When not working or coaching, Brian and his family love spending time by the water. This allows them time to fish, water ski, snorkel, go boating and golf. They are joined by their three labrador retrievers and one Seeing Eye Puppy. Brian and his family are volunteer puppy raisers for the Seeing Eye in Morristown and have had 4 dogs go on to become professional guide dogs.
