Qualifications
Dick joined RBC Wealth Management in April 2015. Dick began his career as a financial advisor at First Union Securities before joining Hefren-Tillotson in 2001 as vice president. Dick later joined Morgan Stanley. Skilled at recognizing viable investment strategies for clients, particularly high net worth individuals and small business owners, Dick understands the importance of how a client’s wealth management plan relates to the broader areas of insurance, taxation, estate planning and retirement issues.
Education
Dick earned his Bachelor of Arts from Allegheny College, and the Accredited Asset Management Specialist (AAMS) designation from The College for Financial Planning. In addition to the Series 7, Series 65, and Series 63 securities licenses, Dick is also licensed for life and health insurance.
Personal
Active in the community, Dick has held several positions in the Salvation Army, including Board member, Chair of the Golf Committee, and member of the Red Shield Committee for 10 years. He and his wife Ann serve on the Magee Women’s Hospital NICU Parent’s Advisory Council. Dick is active in support of the March of Dimes, where his family has served as the Ambassador Family for local March of Dimes events. He is also passionate about supporting The USO.
A former U.S. Navy lieutenant, Dick flew the carrier-based A-6E Intruder attack aircraft. He was also cross-designated as a Naval Intelligence Officer upon graduation from Intelligence School with honors.
Dick and Ann live in Pittsburgh’s South Hills with their three kids, and enjoy cooking, flying, shooting skeet, golf, and being together as a family.
