Rob has worked in the financial services industry for over 35 years. A lifelong student of the markets, Rob started investing at a young age with his grandfather. His career officially began in 1987 with Advest, where he worked as a bond trader until transitioning to become a financial advisor and a cofounding partner of Wealth Planning Counselors in January of 2000. In 2005, Rob moved to Wachovia Securities (later acquired by Wells Fargo). He joined RBC Wealth Management in January of 2018.
Rob is committed to providing every client with superior, informed financial advice that is specific to each individual’s unique circumstances and to communicate that advice in straightforward, easy to understand language.
Rob attended Central Connecticut State University and holds the CPFA™ professional designation. He also passed the SIE, Series 7, 63 and 65 exams and holds life, accident and health insurance licenses.
Rob’s top priorities are faith, family and service, which includes a strong commitment to philanthropy. Dedicated to community service, Rob has been recognized with the Town of Burlington Distinguished Citizen Award. His volunteer leadership positions have been many and currently include the following: executive board member and treasurer for Educated Canines Assisting with Disabilities (ECAD); Home for the Weekend Volunteer and Certified Service Dog Handler; executive board member and finance committee member for the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Connecticut and Western Massachusetts; finance committee and men’s ministry leadership member at Valley Community Baptist Church; and investment committee member for Bristol Hospital as well as for the Main Street Community Foundation.
Rob’s most important role is as a husband to his wife Becky and father to his daughter and son. Their daughter Jessica is currently attending Liberty University with the goal of becoming a financial advisor and their son Jamieson is a sophomore in high School. The family has a yellow Labrador Retriever named Putter who is a former ECAD trainee.
