Telltales

For a few years in my thirties, I took a job as a sailboat chef. During that time, I blogged about my adventures and generated a small following. This is the next generation of that blog – and a different kind of adventure.

Telltales are small flags – indicators that you place on the edge of the sail that is closest to the wind. They help sailors set their sails in changing conditions to capture the power of the wind and get the best possible lift.

This blog is about the indicators we use in real life – both market-oriented and otherwise. It’s about why we invest in the first place – whether with our time, our energy or our money.
