Bill has worked at RBC Wealth Management as a financial advisor since graduating from college in 1986. He has passed the Series 7, 31, 63 and 66 exams and holds his life insurance/annuity license. He also hold the Accredited Wealth Manager professional designation, which is designed exclusively for RBC Wealth Management Financial Advisors. This rigorous academic program builds on the fundamentals of wealth management with a focus on advanced knowledge and skills necessary for working with high net worth clients. The high-impact curriculum is concentrated in the areas of insurance solutions, estate and trust planning, advanced investment strategies and retirement income solutions.
Bill was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and attended the University of Iowa on a football scholarship where he earned a degree in finance. While at Iowa he was named co-most valuable player of the 1985 Big Ten championship team as well as the winner of the Forest Evashevski Scholastic Achievement Award. Bill was selected to the Big Ten second team and to the Academic All-American first team.
Bill married his high school sweetheart and are the proud parents of two daughters. We are also enjoying our new experiences as grandparents. In his spare time Bill enjoys exercising, playing handball, participating in the Iowa Football Club and spending time with friends and family.
