I have enjoyed working at RBC Wealth Management as a financial advisor since graduating from college in 1986. I hold Series 7, 31, 63 and 66 securities licenses as well as a life insurance/annuity license. I also hold the Accredited Wealth Manager professional designation, which is designed exclusively for RBC Wealth Management Financial Advisors. This rigorous academic program builds on the fundamentals of wealth management with a focus on advanced knowledge and skills necessary for working with high net worth clients. The high-impact curriculum is concentrated in the areas of insurance solutions, estate and trust planning, advanced investment strategies and retirement income solutions.
I was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and attended the University of Iowa on a football scholarship where I earned a degree in finance. While at Iowa, I was named co-most valuable player of the 1985 Big Ten championship team as well as the winner of the Forest Evashevski Scholastic Achievement Award. I was selected to the Big Ten second team and to the Academic All-American first team.
I married my high school sweetheart and we are the proud parents of two daughters. We are also enjoying our new experiences as grandparents. In my spare time, I enjoy exercising, playing handball, participating in the Iowa Football Club and spending time with friends and family.
