Craig Bowden, a graduate of South Charleston High School in 1999, began his career as a Financial Advisor in 2005 after graduating Magna Cum Laude from Marshall University with two Bachelor’s Degrees in Finance and Marketing, and two minors in Economics and Management. With over 18 years of experience advising clients on achieving their goals relating to Wealth Accumulation, Preservation, Transfer and Distribution, Craig has the ideal combination of experience under his belt, balanced with approximately 25 years left in his career. As a Senior Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager- Portfolio Focus, he serves a variety of charitable as well as individual clients.
With each client, he takes a consultative approach, focused on client education, to continually enhance the client’s understanding and awareness of where they stand with respect to achieving their goals, as well as where they are heading with respect to achieving their goals. Unless a client feels a sense of financial security and confidence, Craig does not feel that he is performing his role at an appropriate level.
His wife Beth and he have two sons, Trenton, and Dane. Craig attends Bible Center Church, where he has served as a volunteer for over 10 years with Awana, a children’s program on Wednesday nights.
A parent of a child with special needs, Craig has served as a strong advocate for that community by drafting and then tirelessly advocating for three pieces of legislation that were signed into law during the 2022 and 2023 sessions of the WV Legislature.
