Chuck Powers is a seasoned financial professional with more than 30 years of experience in the wealth management industry, including nearly two decades in executive leadership. A Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA®), Chuck focuses on helping business owners and entrepreneurs prepare for and navigate liquidity events, business transitions, and multi-generational wealth planning. Chuck began his career in 1994 as a Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch in Newark, New Jersey. In 2005, he joined UBS, where he held several senior leadership roles, including Branch Manager in Boise, Complex Director for the Mountain Region, and ultimately Market Head of the Desert Mountain Market, overseeing operations across six western states. Throughout his leadership tenure, Chuck built and led high-performing teams while supporting the complex financial needs of affluent clients and privately held businesses. In 2023, Chuck returned to his roots in client advising to focus full time on his passion—serving business owners through pivotal transition moments and legacy planning. In May 2025, he and his team made the strategic decision to join RBC Wealth Management, a global financial institution known for its strength, credit quality, and commitment to private wealth in the U.S. Chuck is proud to be a part of the Dalton Bahney Treinen and Powers Wealth Management Team, recognized by Forbes as the 2024 #1 Wealth Management Team in Idaho. The team’s reputation for excellence is a direct result of the decades-long leadership and client commitment demonstrated by Sandy Dalton and her partners. Together, they provide customized wealth strategies that align investment management, estate planning services, tax considerations, and exit planning under one cohesive advisory experience. Leveraging his CEPA® knowledge and RBC’s global platform, Chuck helps clients access tailored capital solutions, create competitive tension among buyers and lenders, and structure their wealth with intention—before, during, and after the sale of a business. Chuck lives in Boise with his wife, Fanny, and their three sons—Luke, Markus, and Quentin.
