Qualifications
Dan has been providing wealth management solutions to clients for more than three decades. After graduating from the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance he began his career as a Financial Consultant with a regional investment banking firm in Dallas. In 1993 he joined a national bank’s investment advisory platform where he advised individual and institutional clients until his move to RBC Wealth Management in 1999.
Dan has completed the Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) designation offered by the Investment Management Consulting Association. He has also earned the Certified Financial Planner designation offered by the International Board of Standards and Practices for Certified Financial Planners. Dan is a member of the Consulting Group at RBC Wealth Management and has served on the RBC WM Financial Consultant Advisory Council as well as the RBC WM Investment Advisory Council. He has passed the Series 7 and 65 (Investment Advisor Representative) exams and holds life insurance and annuity licenses. In 2014, Dan participated as a member of the Boot Camp for Investment Stewards at the US Military Academy at West Point, New York. The training is offered to elite professionals in the financial services industry who serve in critical decision-making roles. Dan is also a member of the University of North Texas G. Brint Ryan College of Business Dean’s Alumni Advisory Board.
A Dallas native, Dan and his wife Eve live in Highland Park. He has served on the Boards of Kidd’s Kids, Camp Sol and has twice chaired the PCDC Teacher’s Cup Golf Tournament. Dan’s outside interests include traveling with his family, golf and other outdoor activities.
