My goal is to help clients build and understand a plan for growing their wealth to live the lifestyle they choose and meet future goals. I help clients develop their net worth statement, construct an asset allocation model, build an expected income retirement model and create a succession plan for their assets. This four-step process helps individuals, families and small business owners with tax-, retirement- and estate-planning needs.
I have more than 30 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to that, I worked in the automotive industry as a mechanic and car salesman. Having been influenced by an uncle who was in the profession, I knew from an early age I wanted to be a stockbroker.
I also worked as a branch manager at A.G. Edwards & Sons, which was purchased first by Wachcovia Securities and then by Wells Fargo Advisors. My title also changed to financial advisor during those transitions.
I earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Michigan and I hold the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM designation. I passed the Series 3, 6, 7, 9, 10, 63 and 65 exams.
Outside of work, I am a Dallas Park Cities Lions Club member since 1992, an Eagle Scout and Vigil Honor Member in the Boy Scouts of America Order of the Arrow. Currently I am assistant Scoutmaster for Troop 746. In my free time I love to work on cars and repair anything mechanical. My wife, Kathy, and I have three adult children. We enjoy traveling and vegetable gardening and I like to snow ski.
