What is the most rewarding part of your day?
I really like helping clients move from financial uncertainty to clarity and confidence. The most rewarding moments for me is when someone realizes they can stop worrying and start enjoying the life they have worked so hard to build.
Why did you pursue the CFP® and AIF® designations?
There are a lot of designations in our industry. Earning these designations helps me provide clients with top tier customized financial planning. I wanted our clients to know they were receiving advice grounded in a rigorous, ethical standard.
What is the one thing you wish every family knew about wealth?
Wealth isn't about the numbers, it’s about the freedom and time those numbers create. Spend more time on what matters most to you! True wealth is when your money serves your life, not the other way around.
How has your own financial journey shaped the advice you give?
I learned the value of hard work, grit and determination at a young age from my parents. They taught me and my brothers to start investing early with what you have when you can, then increase contributions over time – essentially, pay your future self when you are younger. That perspective shapes how I guide clients today, focusing on simple and repeatable strategies that build confidence over time and help them stay on track through every stage of life.
Outside of work how do you spend your time?
I am a native to the Richmond area and live in Midlothian with my wife, Janet, and our three daughters. We spend a good amount of time as spectators at our daughter’s various events and activities. In addition to that, I enjoy golf, pickleball and most outdoor recreation activities.
