Holden represents the third generation of the Hershey family in financial services, proudly carrying forward a legacy built over 70 years by his grandfather, Jack Hershey, and his father, John Hershey. He is honored to continue that tradition and to bring a fresh perspective to the practice his family has devoted decades to building.
Holden earned his undergraduate degree from Syracuse University and holds an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business. Prior to joining The Hershey Group, he spent five years as an associate director at the Education Advisory Board, a Washington D.C.-based consulting firm. He passed the SIE, Series 7, Series 9, Series 10, and Series 66 exams, and holds life, accident, and health insurance licenses.
At the Darden School of Business, Holden served as Vice President of the Entrepreneurship Club and was an active participant in the Mayo Center for Asset Management and the Batten Institute of Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Technology – immersive programs that sharpened his expertise in business strategy, investment principles, and innovation driven growth.
Since returning to the Washington County area, Holden has embraced the opportunity to give back to the community he grew up in. He is a participant in Leadership Washington County, a delegate of the Greater Hagerstown Committee, and a member of the Alumni Council of Saint James School.
Holden and his wife, Natalie, reside in Bethesda, Maryland. Outside the office, they enjoy trying new restaurants, traveling, and spending time with friends and family.
