Geoffrey is a true artist when it comes to taking care of his clients’ financial needs and goals. In his first career, he was an acclaimed metal sculptor and painter. But he didn’t stop there. Possessing a sharp intelligence and unbending integrity, he successfully channeled his creativity, ingenuity and adaptability into being a long-time, trusted financial advisor. With over 35 years of investing experience through major market shifts, Geoffrey helps clients navigate the changing economic environment and develops research-based investment strategies that address each client’s unique financial needs. He is highly results-driven and takes pride in continuously educating himself on the markets and industry. You can count on Geoffrey to listen to your needs and priorities, and provide recommendations that are relevant and always in your best interest.
Geoffrey chose his second career as an investment advisor very carefully, after seeking a profession in which he could develop long-standing personal relationships with meaningful impacts. He began in 1985 with IDS and Wedbush Securities, and went on to work for AG Edwards and its successors Wachovia and Wells Fargo Advisors. In 2019, Geoffrey and his team at Hughes Financial Group made the move to RBC Wealth Management where they could focus on a client-centric approach to services and advice. He has passed the Series 7, 9, 10, 63 and 66 exams and has been a certified portfolio manager since 2015. Geoffrey attended Bucks College and the San Francisco Art Institute.
Geoffrey’s influence in the Eugene-Springfield area reaches far beyond the investment industry. Since his arrival in 1969, he has been involved in contributing to and shaping the community in enduring ways. In the early years, he was a founding organizer of the Eugene Saturday Market and was one of the first artists featured at the Oregon Country Fair. He has also had a life-long passion for running and has championed the development of Eugene as a Track and Field mecca. During his tenure as President of Oregon Track Club Masters, he spearheaded and managed the world-class restoration of Pre’s Trail. He continues to be a prolific artist to this day. His original paintings can be seen on rotation in his office.
