John has over 20 years of financial services experience, beginning his career as an account executive at First Institutional Securities, focusing on the institutional bond market. He then spent six years at both Merrill Lynch and Smith Barney, followed by four years at Raymond James. Throughout the years, he has built a reputation as a trusted source of information on portfolio construction and fixed income, being asked to present at several institutions and universities, including the University of Michigan. John spends his time focusing on our team's portfolio management activities and developing various investment strategies.
John has been involved in hockey for over 40 years. For the past several years, he has been coaching, achieving level three status through USA Hockey. He is also in his second year of officiating through the organization. He continues to compete through the team he founded, New Jersey Wave H.C., and recently captained the team’s third championship since its founding in 2014.
John enjoys the outdoors and nature, especially camping and hiking, including backpacking sections of the Appalachian Trail (A.T.). John’s true passion, however, is skiing. A perfect day would be in the high 20s, soft snow falling as he skis powder in the backcountry of Wyoming or Montana.
